Andy’s Army Wellness Walk for Diabetes UK

My amazing friends and I are  fundraising in memory of my dad, who lived with Type 1 diabetes for 55 years. He faced this condition every single day with quiet courage, even when it was incredibly hard.

Type 1 diabetes isn’t something you “get used to.” It’s constant, relentless, and impacts every part of daily life from meals and sleep to mental health. My dad knew this better than anyone. He never gave up and when the burden was heavy.

Sadly, he passed away recently, and I want to honor his life by supporting the cause he lived with every day. 

This cause also hits home in another way as my close friend’s dad is currently living with Type 1 diabetes too. Seeing the challenges firsthand, both past and present, has made me even more determined to help fund better care, education, and hopefully, a cure through diabetes UK. 

Any donation no matter the size would mean the world to me and help keep his legacy alive in a way that might ease the path for someone else.
