Megan and I are taking on a Wellness Walk for a happier, healthier future for all.

As many of you know, our brave Megan was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes on Christmas Day 2024, after being rushed to hospital in diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) – a life-threatening complication caused by dangerously low insulin levels. It was an incredibly frightening time, and a diagnosis that changed all of our lives overnight.

Now, five months on, Megan is thriving. She’s gone from being critically ill to the bright, energetic, and resilient girl we’re so proud of today. She’s handled this huge life adjustment with more strength than we could have imagined – and she’s become passionate about raising awareness and making a difference for others living with Type 1 Diabetes.

So, we're taking action.

On 28 September 2025, Megan and our family will be taking on a 5-mile walk through London to raise funds for Diabetes UK, the charity leading the fight against one of the UK’s fastest-growing health crises.

➡️ One in 15 people in the UK lives with diabetes. Diabetes UK is at the forefront of providing support, education, and vital research – all of which can change lives.

Every donation made to our page will help:

• Fund research towards a cure and better treatments

• Provide crucial support for families via the Diabetes UK helpline
