Olivia's Story

I am Olivia. In December 2023, I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. It changed my life in more ways than I could ever have imagined. I now have to take insulin multiple times a day via my insulin pump and constantly monitor my blood sugar levels. It hasn't been easy: diabetes makes no sense a lot of the time, which can be extremely frustrating!

However my diagnosis hasn't just affected me: all my friends and my whole family have been impacted.

And unfortunately, there currently is no cure.

Because of this, my family and I have decided to fundraise for Diabetes UK, a charity, providing support to those affected by all forms of diabetes, and researching to find a cure.
