We’re taking on a Wellness Walk for a happier, healthier future for all.

Here's a little about us:

We are a mother and daughter duo Helen & Katy who started a weightloss/wellness journey 2024/2025.
We have decided to embark on this journey due to quite honestly not liking our current weight and fitness levels and also to help our mental health along the way.
We also chose to do this wellness walk to raise funds for Diabetes UK as we have experienced first hand the effects Diabetes has on a daily basis.
Katys grandad was type 1 Diabetic and relied on daily insulin injections. Katy, her dad and her brother in-law are all type 2 Diabetic who rely on daily tablet medication to manage this.
Not only does katy, her dad and brother in-law have type 2 but katy also helps look after her partners nephew who is type 1 and relies on multiple daily insulin injections to help him manage this condition.
Diabetes is not spoken about often enough and is not taken seriously enough, this condition is life threatening and can take a turn in the blink of an eye.
