I’m taking on a Wellness Walk for a happier, healthier future for all.
On 28 September, I'm walking ten miles along London's bridges to raise funds for Diabetes UK.
Diabetes UK campaigns for better care for people with diabetes, funds research into treatments and potential cures, and promotes education about the disease. One in 15 people is living with diabetes, and the results can be devastating.
This challenge achieves two goals. First, I aim to exceed my fundraising target significantly. Secondly, training for this walk will help me reach a healthier weight of 95 kilos and reduce my blood sugar level from prediabetic to a healthier range.
Donating to this page encourages me and helps Diabetes UK achieve its goal of a world where diabetes can do no harm.
Years ago, I posted that my Small Person always gets my medals. The Small Person is no longer small, so maybe I will be allowed to keep this medal.
