My Story

Welcome to my Diabetes UK Wellness Walk fundraising page!

I’m walking for Diabetes UK this September to support the 5.8 million people in the UK who live with diabetes, day in day out. And you can too, just by making a donation.

15 years ago, our lives changed forever.

My sister Ellie-Mae was diagnosed with diabetes, and from that moment on, nothing was quite the same. What many people don’t see is that diabetes never takes a day off. There are no breaks, no pauses just constant strength, every single day.

I’ve watched her face challenges most people will never fully understand. The early mornings, the late nights, the quiet moments of worry, and the incredible resilience it takes just to keep going. And through it all, she has shown more courage, determination, and grace than I could ever put into words.

She doesn’t let diabetes define her. Instead, she lives her life fully, bravely, and with a strength that inspires me every single day.

I am so unbelievably proud of her, not just for managing her condition, but for who she is as a person. Strong, kind, and unstoppable.

Now, with my new little family, the three of us are taking on a 5 mile walk, pushing a pram and walking together doing this for people like my sister.

Because they deserve more support, more research, and a future where this fight is easier.

Our Walk

Sunday 20th Sep

Lovely walk with my little family and only a few feeding pit stops for Arabella ☺️

A Practice Run

Friday 11th Sep

Tomorrow we’re having a little family day out and getting our walking shoes on! 👟❤️

We’re going to walk into town, have a wander around, and then make our way back home, a little practice walk before we take on the real thing!

We haven’t completely decided on a date for the big walk just yet (hopefully next weekend!)

We’re keeping an eye on the weather and, most importantly, making sure we choose a day that keeps Arabella happy and comfortable. 🥰
