Hello I'm claire I have got type 1 diabetes and have a insulin pump which i have to change my cannula nearly very 2 days and using libre 3 as my sensor i have had this nearly 2 years.

I have had diabetes since I was 19 years old and I have had it for 16 years. It was hard age due to going out being 18 etc and having fun drinking well that knocked it on the head and being that age didn't seem fair to have it.

I have had 2 children which yes did spike my levels and caused so much trouble with my levels. Anything tips the levels from illness, stress and many more. People dont seem to understand it that its just cause we ate sweets noooo its because our pancreas has ran out of insulin without it we wouldn't survive so this keeps us alive. It affects so many parts of our bodies feet, eyes, heart, kidneys and also cholesterol which has now affected me.

Sometimes it is a struggle carb counting, making sure u have put the correct amount in, doing 15 mins before which is hard and having hypers and also the hypos which sometimes in the middle of the night its horrible as all u want to do is sleep, the hypo make u feel like ur not here cant concentrate, shakes, tingling of fingers and tongue which is a new one for me.
