I’m taking on a Wellness Walk for a happier, healthier future for all.
One in 15 of us is now living with diabetes and Diabetes UK is the charity leading the fight against the UK's devastating and fastest-growing health crisis.
By donating to my page, Diabetes UK could fund more research or provide much needed support via their helpline. Together, we can walk towards a world where diabetes can do no harm.

Why I'm Walking
Saturday 6th SepWhen I was 13, life threw me a curveball. Out of nowhere, I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. One day I was just a normal kid worrying about homework and what was for dinner… and the next, I was suddenly learning how to count carbs, inject insulin, and navigate a whole new world I didn’t even know existed.
Since then, it’s been a constant journey – with plenty of ups and downs (quite literally, if you know what I mean with blood sugar levels!). Living with Type 1 diabetes isn’t easy. It’s 24/7, no days off, and it can feel overwhelming. But it’s also made me stronger, more resilient, and more determined to make a difference.
That’s why I’ve decided to lace up my trainers and take on this Wellness Walk in support of Diabetes UK. It’s not just about me – it’s about everyone living with diabetes right now, and the hope that future generations will have better treatments, better technology, and maybe even a cure.
The money raised will go straight into research, support, and development – things that genuinely change lives every single day. Diabetes UK is doing amazing work, and with your help, they can keep pushing forward.
So, here’s the deal: I’ll do the walking (blisters and all!), and I’d be so grateful if you could chip in whatever you can to support the cause. Every step I take is powered by your kindness – and maybe a jelly baby or two along the way.
Thank you so much for supporting me and supporting everyone out there living with diabetes. Together, we can make a real difference. 💙
