It's all about Quinn...

Back in 2021, whilst on a family holiday in the Cotswolds, my daughter, Quinn, who was 9 years old at the time, became seriously unwell very quickly. Following a very scary ambulance ride to Gloucester Royal, we found out she was in Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA) .
Living with Type 1 Diabetes isn't easy, but our girl takes it in her stride and has embraced every finger prick, injection, pump site change, sensor site change, low blood sugar, high blood sugar and all the rest with bravery, stoicism and humour, most of the time! We are always so proud of Quinn's journey, but we need more research and more funding into this condition that changes lives, steals childhoods and lasts a lifetime.
Supported by the best team of friends a girl could ask for, I will be walking 8 miles on the 7th September to raise money and awareness for Diabetes UK. This will be my 3rd year completing this challenge, and every pound is gratefully received.
Thanks for reading and supporting this worthwhile cause.
By donating to my page, Diabetes UK could fund more research or provide much needed support via their helpline. Together, we can walk towards a world where diabetes can do no harm.
