About ME :)

Hey- Welcome to my page !

Thank you for taking your time to click on the link and read this through.

This September I’m walking for Diabetes UK to support the 5.8 million people in the UK living with diabetes every day.

As someone with diabetes myself, I know how scary, frustrating, and tiring it can be. Even with good support around me, I still find it overwhelming sometimes, so I can only imagine how hard it must be for people who don’t have that same support. That’s why I think the work Diabetes UK does is so important — they’re there for people who really need it. The route that i will be taking has not been decided yet but I'll share it through my social media closer to the time !

A lil bit about Diabetes UK:

Diabetes UK supports people living with diabetes by providing information, advice, and practical help, while also funding research, campaigning for better care, and working to raise awareness of the condition. They help people feel less alone, push for change, and support improvements in treatment, prevention, and everyday life with diabetes.

But they need our help. Every donation, no matter how big or small, can make a difference. So please donate if you can.

THANK YOU !

Bas:)

UPDATED MY ROUTE !!

Saturday 5th Sep
I’ve updated my route and I'm actually ended up walking more than my initially plan ! You can see my updated route above and the distance is now 5.37 miles instead :) WOOOHOOOO !

ILL BE DOING MY WALK TOMORROW !!

Friday 4th Sep
This Saturday (tomorrow), I’m doing my wellness walk, starting at London Bridge and walking along the Thames past Borough Market and Tate Modern. Then I’ll cross over Waterloo Bridge to Somerset House, wander through beautiful Covent Garden and Seven Dials, and head down Shaftesbury Avenue towards Trafalgar Square. After that, I’ll cut back up through Soho to Mayfair, then stroll through gorgeous Marylebone before finishing at Baker Street, making it 5.08 miles in total. Throughout the walk, the amazing Di will be with me, supporting me and documenting the whole journey. For me, this wellness walk is not about pace — it’s about movement, wellbeing, and raising awareness. I also want to use this walk to highlight how important it is for all of us to look out for and care for those who are living with it. Diabetes is not always something you can physically see, but that does not make the daily challenges any less real. Sometimes, simply checking in on your people, showing support, and being understanding can mean everything. This walk is my way of helping bring more awareness, compassion, and conversation to that. I also want to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to everyone who has donated, and for all of your sweet messages of support — it truly means so much to me. I love you all.

THANK YOUUUUU
