Support Teddy’s 10-Mile London Bridges Walk for Type 1 Diabetes
Last May 2025 , at just 9 years old, our son Teddy was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Overnight, his world changed forever.
Every single day, Teddy has to live with a condition that never takes a break. He wears an insulin pump and a continuous glucose monitor, has regular blood sugar checks, counts carbohydrates with every meal, and has to think about how exercise, excitement, illness, and even sleep can affect his glucose levels. Despite all of this, he faces each day with incredible courage, determination, and a smile on his face.
Now, Teddy is taking on an amazing challenge—walking 10 miles across London’s famous bridges to raise money for Type 1 diabetes. He wants to help fund vital research, improve treatments, and bring hope for a future where no child has to face this condition.
We are so incredibly proud of how brave and resilient Teddy has been since his diagnosis. If you’re able to support him, no matter how big or small the donation, it would mean the world to him and our family.
Welcome to my Diabetes UK Wellness Walk fundraising page!
I’m walking for Diabetes UK this September to support the 5.8 million people in the UK who live with diabetes, day in day out. And you can too, just by making a donation.
Did you know someone is diagnosed with diabetes every two minutes?
Diabetes UK are on a mission to create a world where diabetes can do no harm by funding vital research into life-changing treatments and providing support to help people to live well with diabetes. But they need our help. No matter how much you can give, it will make a difference.
