My Story
Welcome to my Diabetes UK Wellness Walk fundraising page!
I’m walking for Diabetes UK this September to support the 5.8 million people in the UK who live with diabetes, day in day out. And you can too, just by making a donation.
I have been a type 1 diabetic for over 35 years and it undoubtedly contributed to me requiring a triple heart bypass in 2021.
I have lost four stone in weight, completed two, one million step challenges, three London Bridges walks and produced a charity Christmas single (another this year) since my recovery. I have raised over £8000 for the charity in the process - thank you to everyone who has supported.
Diabetes UK are on a mission to create a world where diabetes can do no harm by funding vital research into life-changing treatments and providing support to help people to live well with diabetes. But they need our help. No matter how much you can give, it will make a difference.
So please donate today.
