My Story
Four years ago I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. It changed how I eat, how I plan my day, and how I think about the future. With diabetes comes associated risks — alongside managing my condition I was prescribed additional medication to protect my heart. At one point I was on six different medications. I'm down to four now, and that progress matters.
5.8 million people in the UK are living with diabetes — both Type 1 and Type 2 — and someone new joins that number every two minutes.
This September I'm walking 5 miles for Diabetes UK — because they're doing the work that actually matters. Funding research into better treatments. Helping people understand and manage their condition. Working toward a future where diabetes does less harm.
I'm lacing my boots. If you can spare a few pounds, please donate using the button on this page — every contribution goes directly toward that work.

Good man. Get Linda to lace your boots so they don't come undone halfway through the walk.
