My Story

So... i've taken the plunge to walk 10 miles in London for Diabetes UK, a cause close to me.

I was diagnosed with Diabetes at 10 years old... As you can imagine i never knew what that meant for me and the rest of my life. Over those first few years there were a few hospital stays (some stupid... doing way too much of the wrong insulin comes to mind), and tears because i hated being 'different' and having to test and inject multiple times a day! 

I can't say i've fully come to terms with it (even after 30 years)... the doctors appointments, test results, eye appointments, all the ups and downs and not forgetting the mental toll, it can all be a lot and overwhelming! 
I will never let it beat me or let it stop me from doing things i've wanted to do... travelling to some amazing places in the world and doing stupid things (skydiving in New Zealand, quad biking in Cambodia, sand boarding in Peru, ziplining in Canada). 

I've chosen to do this to raise some money for this great cause, so anything you can give to help me with this goal is much appreciated.xx
