David - My Story
Welcome to my Diabetes UK Wellness Walk fundraising page!
In September, I will be walking the London Bridges with my niece and her daughter, who was
diagnosed with diabetes when she was a young girl. Her journey has not always been
easy, but she has shown incredible strength, courage and determination. She has
now set herself the inspiring goal of helping other young people facing the
same challenges she has experienced.
She is currently training to become a pediatric nurse, with the intention of specialising
in diabetes care. I am extremely proud of everything she has achieved, and of
the way she continues to live with diabetes while turning her own experience
into something positive for others.
By taking part, I am also supporting the 5.8 million people
in the UK who live with diabetes every single day. Your support can help make a
real difference to them and their families.

Diabetes UK is working towards a world where diabetes can do no harm. They fund
vital research into life-changing treatments, campaign for better care, and
provide practical support to help people live well with diabetes. But they
cannot do this without our help.
