Welcome to my Diabetes UK Wellness Walk fundraising page!

As a Type 1 of 25 years, with many complications, this is a cause that means very much to me.

I’m walking for Diabetes UK this September to support the 5.8 million people in the UK who live with diabetes, day in day out. And you can too, just by making a donation.

Did you know someone is diagnosed with diabetes every two minutes?

Diabetes UK are on a mission to create a world where diabetes can do no harm by funding vital research into life-changing treatments and providing support to help people to live well with diabetes. But they need our help. No matter how much you can give, it will make a difference.

My life with Type 1

Sunday 13th Sep

I was diagnosed at age 3.5 and can remember all the little things. Thankfully I have a supportive and loving family who have been there for me through the highs and lows (pun intended), and have a lot of their own memories and experiences related to my health.

Diabetes UK is an incredible charity and I am so happy to be doing another one of their challenges. After doing the One Million Step Challenge during lockdown, I felt so happy to have contributed to something so close to my own life experiences for the sake of others.

I will be walking with my mum, and we will probably laugh our way through the route!
