Story of me ...

Saturday 11th Jul
I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when I was just 11 years old, and I’m now 23. For the past 12 years, I’ve lived with the daily reality of a condition that never gets a day off. Every single day involves checking my blood sugar, giving insulin, making constant decisions about food, exercise and everyday life, while managing the fear of dangerous highs and lows. It can be physically exhausting, emotionally draining, and often invisible to everyone else.

This walk is so important to me because I know how life-changing a Type 1 Diabetes diagnosis can be. If the money we raise can help support research, improve care, or make the journey even a little easier for someone who has just been diagnosed or is learning to live with this condition, then every mile will be worth it.

To everyone who is joining me on the walk, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your support means more than you know, and having you by my side for these 10 miles makes this challenge even more special.

If you’re able to donate, no matter how much, I would be so grateful. Every contribution helps us move one step closer to a future with better treatments and, one day, a cure.

Thank you for your kindness, support, and for believing in this cause as much as I do. 💙
