Welcome to my Diabetes UK Wellness Walk fundraising page!
I’m walking for Diabetes UK this September with my family, to support the 5.8 million people in the UK who live with diabetes, just like me, day in day out. And you can too, just by making a donation.
Did you know someone is diagnosed with diabetes every two minutes?
I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when I was four years old. I was feeling nervous and scared because I had never heard of diabetes before and it sounded like a very scary thing. Now I have got used to it and it is not so scary anymore. My family and the doctors and nurses at the hospital all support me to make sure I feel safe and that I am looked after.
Diabetes UK are on a mission to create a world where diabetes can do no harm by funding vital research into life-changing treatments and providing support to help people to live well with diabetes. But they need our help. No matter how much you can give, it will make a difference.
