My Story

Welcome to our Diabetes UK fundraising page!

In 2021, our son was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at 2 years old.

As a family, we are taking part in the Wellness Walk 2026 to show him he is not alone in this ever changing condition, to celebrate his bravery and to raise money for Diabetes UK who, without them, his life (and ours) would look very different.

Diabetes UK are on a mission to create a world where diabetes can do no harm by funding vital research into life-changing treatments and providing support to help people to live well with diabetes. But they need our help. No matter how much you can give, it will make a difference.
