Wellness Walk London Bridges

My Story

After being diagnosed with Diabetes (Type 2) last year I have become acutely aware of just how many people that it affects, either people I know personally, and also complete strangers that have shared their stories.

It is my belief that I spent at least a few years having it without being diagnosed, much through my own ignorance, thinking 'naaahhh, I ain't got Diabetes' - hell, I used to be proud of the fact that I had not seen a Dr in nearly 20 years, I now know that is nothing to be proud of. I have already significantly reduced my A1c, blood sugar level and a major factor in diabetes, from what it began at.... 99 😲, to a much better but still needs work, 64
What would have been great is better 'signposting', awareness campaigns in the media etc - so it is my hope that whatever monies I can raise, can go towards helping others.

Please can I ask that you consider sponsoring me for a 10 mile London Bridges walk in aid of Diabetes UK that I will be completing on Sunday 27th September this year
