Wellness Walk London Bridges

My Story

Diabetes has had a massive impact on my life, my mum was a type 1, she passed in 1998 but I have vivid memories of her hypos and lots of hospital visits. In in 2001 my daughter was diagnosed and I was devastated as I could only think about what my mum had been through, there has been major developments but still no cure, my daughter has been an inspiration! She went to university and is now a construction solicitor, we are so proud of how she coped with her diabetes and is now a mum to our lovely George. We were assured by the time Abbie was an adult this would be cured. We are in 2026  and there is no cure!
Anything you can donate to help with future research to Diabetes will be greatly appreciated.

I am now a type 2 diabetic and my super fit brother is also a diabetic so don’t all believe it it is based on a non healthy lifestyle!
