My Story
This September, I’m walking for Diabetes UK in honour of my uncle, who passed away due to vascular complications linked to diabetes. Losing him was a painful reminder of how devastating this condition can be.
My mum and my father‑in‑law also live with diabetes, and I see firsthand the impact it has on their health, their routines, and their strength. This walk is for them too — and for the millions of families facing the same reality.
With 5.8 million people in the UK living with diabetes and a new diagnosis happening every two minutes, Diabetes UK’s work is essential. They fund life‑changing research and provide support that helps people live well with diabetes.
I’m walking with my friends in mind, and with hope for a future where diabetes can do no harm. If you can, please donate. Every contribution helps.
